Hamburg is the second largest city in Germany with a major port. The
city takes its name from the castle which was the first building built
in Hamburg. Some say it is from the Saxon word ham which means
shore. Either way, Hamburg is a well established cosmopolitan city

the port of Hamburg in 2006. Airbus employs over 30,000 people in
Hamburg. These are impressive facts that show the sheer size of the
place. Visitors can stroll along the river Elbe, visit the famous zoo,
